Abstract
The article is devoted to the underachievement of schoolchildren by underachievement. Currently, the education system in our country is in a situation where there is a need to revise approaches to teaching schoolchildren. In the process of observation, the study was conducted for a long time by well-known teachers, psychologists theoretically and in practice. The assimilation of knowledge depends on the interests, inclinations of the student, the formed skills of educational work. Therefore, teachers need to understand the problems of underachieving students, support them, help them, show special attitude towards them. Currently, the problem of underachievement is becoming the most urgent because there are objective and subjective prerequisites that are a consequence of socio-economic transformations in the post-Soviet space.
