This policy regulates the use of generative artificial intelligence in the preparation, submission and editorial handling of materials submitted to the journal. Its purpose is to ensure transparency on the part of authors, uphold academic ethics and prevent any distortion of research content.

Generative AI may be used only as a supplementary tool. Its application must not substitute the author’s analytical work, generate scientific conclusions or produce substantive sections of the study. The use of AI to create interpretations, conclusions, methodological descriptions or theoretical discussions is considered inappropriate, as is the generation of data, statistical values or experimental accounts. Producing substantial portions of a manuscript with AI while withholding this information from the editors is likewise unacceptable.

Permitted use of AI includes enhancing the readability of the text, improving language and style, and correcting minor linguistic issues. AI may also support technical tasks such as checking reference formatting, organising the bibliography, preparing tables based on data supplied by the author and identifying technical inaccuracies. In all cases, AI must remain an auxiliary tool rather than an intellectual contributor.

Each author is required to disclose how and to what extent AI was used. Failure to report such use when it has in fact occurred constitutes a breach of the journal’s ethical standards. Responsibility for the accuracy of the manuscript, the reliability of data, the precision of references and the absence of distortions lies entirely with the authors. They must personally verify any content processed or generated with the assistance of AI. AI cannot be listed as a co-author.

The editorial office may use AI solely for technical purposes, including preliminary screening of manuscripts, detecting possible plagiarism, and assessing structural or linguistic correctness. Peer review and editorial decisions are carried out exclusively by human experts.

If a manuscript is found to contain concealed or inappropriate use of AI, it may be returned to the authors for revision, rejected without further consideration or retracted after publication in cases of serious breaches of research integrity.
