Abstract

The article highlights the experience of training religious scholars at the KNU J. Balasagyn. The author notes that religion is studied as a universal multifaceted (social, psychological, anthropological, historical) phenomenon using different methodological positions in accordance with the principles of modern secular religious studies. Various aspects of teaching religious studies as an academic discipline are considered. Attention is paid to the existing shortcomings and difficulties of religious education related to its theoretical, organizational, methodological and other problems. Suggestions are made to optimize religious education
