Аннотация

Статья «История определений терминов «Центральная Азия» и «Тартария» в историографии и записках средневековых европейских путешественников» представляет обзор эволюции понятий «Центральная Азия» и «Тартария» в исторических исследованиях и путевых записках европейских путешественников периода Средних веков. Автор анализирует различные определения и трактовки этих терминов в разных исторических периодах, отмечая их изменчивость и контекстуальную зависимость. Особое внимание уделяется исследованию исторических корней и эволюции восприятия этих регионов европейскими исследователями, а также их роли в формировании представлений о Востоке в средневековой Европе
