Abstract

The article explores the project method in secondary education, emphasizing its development since the end of the XIX century, the emphasis on the personality of the student and the role of the philosopher John Dewey. The phases of the design method and its impact in the USA, Germany and post-Soviet countries, including Kazakhstan, are considered. The advantages of the method in the development of key competencies, such as information and communication, are discussed with examples of successful integration into educational programs. Examples of successful integration of project methodology into school education demonstrate its effectiveness in the development of key competencies of students, which is especially important in the modern labor market
