Abstract
This article examines the psychological features of teaching a foreign language. The problems that arose during the learning process and ways to solve them are highlighted. The article shows the psychological patterns of foreign language teaching methods. Taking into account the characteristics of mental processes depending on age in the educational process, the creation of effective pedagogical and psychological conditions, their importance in mastering a foreign language is analyzed, and information is given about the psychological foundations of teaching a foreign language
