Abstract
The teaching of Kyrgyz literature in higher education institutions plays a key role in the formation of national self-awareness and cultural identity of students. This subject not only enriches knowledge about the literary heritage of the country, but also contributes to the development of critical thinking, aesthetic perception and moral values.
