Abstract

This article is devoted to the phenomenon of language switching from one language code or subcode to another, as well as to the peculiarities of using Russian and Kyrgyz languages by bilinguals living in modern Kyrgyzstan. In Kyrgyzstan, there is a widespread and equal use of Russian and Kyrgyz languages in everyday life, in the scientific sphere, in official business communication, etc. Switching from one language to another in the process of communication changes language codes and subcodes, respectively, Russian and Kyrgyz languages in the speaker's speech coexist together and complement each other
