Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between the two most significant manifestations of social consciousness for a person and society - religion and morality, by which people are guided in their determination of life guidelines and life activity. Based on the assumption that religions and morality serve as the backbone of the spiritual and moral formation of the personality, the theoretical prerequisites and ways of implementing the spiritual and moral principles in the social formation of student youth are revealed
