Abstract
The article examines the features of Kazakh proverbs and compares them with the proverbs of some Turkic peoples. Folklorists refer proverbs and sayings to the oldest genres. Kazakh folklore researchers in their research have studied the specifics of this genre, gave a separate definition to proverbs and separate sayings. The article contains the names of the works of folklore scientists who studied Kazakh proverbs, the definitions given by some of them are given. The origin of Kazakh proverbs and the common spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples are considered.Proverbs give people advice based on the centuries-old experience of the people. The factors and circumstances that led to the similarity of many proverbs of the Turkic peoples are described. It emphasizes the importance of the historical factor – the common history and spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples. During the consideration of the origins of Kazakh proverbs and sayings, the topic is reduced to the common spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples. And we are also talking about the factors that influenced the similarity of proverbs and sayings of the Turkic peoples. Since the life of the nomadic Turkic peoples was connected with animal husbandry, there are a lot of proverbs about everyday life and about cattle in their language. There are also variants of proverbs that are used by native speakers of these languages today
