Abstract

The article discusses topical issues related to the definition of the constitutional and legal status of the Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic. A detailed analysis of the norms of the Constitution and the legislative framework defining the legal status of the Prosecutor's Office, its tasks and functions is carried out. The author details the functions of the prosecutor's office and defines the vectors of its activities. Special attention is paid to the appointment and dismissal of the senior staff of the Prosecutor's Office. The emphasis is placed on such functions of the prosecutor's office as the initiation of criminal cases and the conduct of operational investigative activities. The author also examines individual problems in law enforcement and disputes about them among the legal and scientific community. In conclusion, the author argues that the activities of the Prosecutor's Office to monitor the implementation of laws and ensure the rule of law in the activities of all branches of government are system-building
