Abstract
This article provides a political analysis of inter-ethnic relations, conflicts, and political processes in the formation of the civic identity of the Kyrgyz Republic during the period of independence. Every newly emerging country in the post-Soviet space seeks to preserve its national language, culture, and traditions, which are the core of civic identity and develops relevant action plans at the state and civil society levels. There are scientific studies by scientists who study the processes of civic identity formation from a political point of view. Civic identity is built around political arguments that reflect the interests and perspectives of groups with which citizens identify. The purpose of the study is to scientifically analyze the meaning and state of civic identity, which contributes to the construction of a stable Kyrgyz state and strengthening of inter-ethnic harmony, on the example of the main ethnic groups in Kyrgyzstan, and to determine the ethnic differences and directions of their future changes. Political identity is formed through civil society organizations based on history, race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, culture, privilege, profession, or hobby. However, not all members of a group necessarily share the same political identity. Ethnic and inter-confessional conflicts indicate the presence of destructive external forces on the world stage, including new states. Unfortunately, such forces have weakened the states, the chaos accompanied by the death of many citizens has led to the organization of instability and war disasters in the regions and has had a negative impact on the formation of state identity
