Abstract

The article provides explanations regarding the differences in the understanding of civil society in Western countries and within the framework of the historical experience of the Kyrgyz people. The differences between the form and content of civil society in the country are indicated. The modern model of financing non-governmental organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic is described and its aspects that are contrary to national interests are identified. An adequate model for financing non-governmental organizations is proposed for national interests and the current tasks of the institution of kurultai as an instrument of civil society are considered
