Abstract
The article reflects the socio-psychological problems of Kyrgyz migrants who found themselves in a new environment. The main problems that violate the process of effective social adaptation are outlined. In modern psychology, the phenomenon of socio-psychological adaptation is more often studied in connection with the difficulties of intercultural and interethnic interaction, which are formed in the process of political, labor, educational migration. In order to designate the process of adaptation of migrants in the new environment of the country, where they spend a fairly long period of their lives, the term ―sociocultural adaptation‖ is most often used. The main socio-psychological problem of migrants from Kyrgyzstan is the unsettled status and low level of literacy of migrants leaving Kyrgyzstan. Often migrants, acting as hostages of slave traders, find themselves in various areas of labor exploitation. A long stay of young migrants - people from rural areas - in an unadapted urban environment at the beginning of migration, gives rise to socio-psychological problems associated with the language barrier, communication, as a result of adaptation, having a different impact on their attitudes, value beliefs and orientations, lifestyle
