Abstract

The article reveals the main tasks of natural science education in secondary schools in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Standard and the curriculum for the subject learning outcomes. The authors pay attention to the role and significance of the basic mathematical concepts and methods necessary for the qualitative assimilation of the material of natural subjects. The main provisions of the use of intersubject relations in the study of geography are determined by the example of the section of morphometry. Methodological recommendations for improving the technology of studying physical geography are given. Keywords: natural science knowledge, geography, physics, mathematics, interdisciplinary connections, morphometry, implementation methodology. In the development of modern education, there is a tendency to combine knowledge from different scientific fields, because only when several areas are combined, a holistic view of the world around is formed, new horizons of knowledge begin to open up. This integration process is carried out using the principle of interdisciplinary communication in education, which is a necessary component of school education
