Abstract
The article examines the biodiversity of vertebrates (amphibians - mammals), the aquatic ecosystem of Bishkek and its environs (ponds of the fish farm in the village of Ozernoye, the Salkyn and Muras-Ordo residential areas, the village of Mramornoye, BChK-HPP-5, canals in the village of Prigorodnoye, 110 quarter, etc.). Birds and mammals were observed in all seasons of the year, and amphibians and reptiles were observed in the spring-summer season. In almost all inland water bodies within the city, with abundant aquatic vegetation and rich food resources, Rana ridibunda and Natrix tessellata are numerous. They enter into a trophic relationship with other organisms, such as crustaceans, insects and their larvae, fish fry and frog larvae. In all the water bodies under consideration, especially outside the city, typical waterfowl and semi-aquatic bird species, which form the core of the aquatic ecosystem, are especially numerous and diverse. According to the nature of stay, all 5 types are noted, but most of all migratory ones. Both the internal water bodies of the city and outside it are characterized by a variety of bird species from different orders. Of the aquatic mammals, we noted only the muskrat, a species once acclimatized from Kazakhstan and released into the lake Issyk-Kul. It successfully took root in all reservoirs of the Chui Valley, since the places for its feeding and reproduction turned out to be suitable. Among waterfowl and semi-aquatic birds, and in general, species whose habitat in water bodies is connected to one degree or another with the aquatic environment, there are also protected species - dalmatian pelican, pygmy cormorant, white-tailed eagle, shikra, spoonbill, glossy ibis, ferruginous duck, white-headed duck, pied avocet, pallas's gull. According to the nature of their stay, they are classified as migratory, wintering and vagrant. The latter phenomenon is associated with the climatic conditions of the habitats
