The article presents theoretical conclusions that can be applied to further study of problems and new threats to economic security at the macro level in the context of the development of the digital economy. The article studies and provides recommendations on the development of ways to improve economic and information security, taking into account the risks and factors of digitalization of the country's economy, as well as substantiating the structural elements of the information security system. The author characterizes the concept of the country's economic security, outlines its features in the context of digitalization. The features and problems of digitalization that form modern challenges and threats to economic security are identified. Among the key tasks of economic security in the context of the digitalization of the economy, ensuring digital security is of particular relevance. The author substantiates possible directions for increasing the economic security of the country in the digital environment. Recommendations are presented for the formation of an information security system in the context of the digitalization of the economy in terms of highlighting its structural elements. The systematization of threats to the information security of the country into significant and slightly dangerous ones has been carried out. The systematization and consolidation of the recommendations presented in the work on ensuring the economic security of the Kyrgyz Republic allowed the author to identify a number of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the foundations of information security. A system of indicators has been proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed measures within the framework of the directions for increasing the country's economic security
