Abstract

The goal of society development is to create conditions for a prosperous life for people. Standard of living indicators allow us to judge how effectively the subjects of social policy are coping with this goal. The article examines the main characteristics of the standard of living of the population of the Kyrgyz Republic, provides four generally accepted standards of living of the population, and uses the method of statistical analysis of indicators of the standard of living of the population. The results of the analysis showed a discrepancy between the growing incomes of the population in recent years and the growing social needs, which leads to an increase in the level of poverty in the country
