Abstract

With the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, educational institutions were opened in the capital, and first of all in 1927, the current Kyrgyz National University, organized initially as a pedagogical college. The literary circle ‖Kyzyl Uchkun‖ (Krasnaya Iskra) began its work in this educational institution, in which famous poet-writers participated, a wall newspaper, collections in the form of manuscripts, student songs, literary meetings were published. In the early days, the circle was led by famous poets and writers M. Elebaev, U. Abdukaimov, A. Tokombayev. The literary circle was the beginning of the growth of modern Kyrgyz literature and the Kyrgyz intelligentsia. The article describes the age-old history of the literary circle, its origin and formation. The history of that century is chronologically recorded in the bibliography of publications of the leaders of the literary circle and continued by modern publications. After public recognition, the literary circle changed its name ‖Kyzyl Uchkun‖ to the literary and creative circle ‖Young Waves". It fulfilled its historical mission by being a great school for the first Kyrgyz intelligentsia and continued its best traditions
