Abstract

The article discusses the constitutional and legal status of the Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic. The origin of the ombudsman institution, its name and operating procedure in different countries, as well as widespread models of this institution are analyzed. The regulatory legal acts defining the constitutional and legal status of the Ombudsman are analyzed, as a result of which the main problems existing in it are identified. In addition, a number of recommendations have been developed to solve the problems identified during the study
