Abstract
The article examines the constitutional and legal status of the head of state after the next constitutional reform in the Kyrgyz Republic in 2021. Significant innovations of presidential powers, such as heading the executive branch, changing their constitutional term and some restrictions associated with holding this position, are compared with examples of the experience of neighboring countries, and practical recommendations are given for improving domestic experience in this area
