Abstract
The article is devoted to the role of the modeling method in teaching physics. We are talking about teaching physics at school. The modeling method is interpreted by the author as one of the important modern pedagogical strategies. This strategy is understood by the author as an educational imperative. Modeling is used in a system of different technologies. The teacher uses separate modeling elements more often. Modeling helps the teacher to better understand the educational process as an object of scientific research. This methodical technique is effective in the process of teaching educational material about abstract objects, since such objects do not lend themselves to visual perception. It is important for the teacher to visualize them. To do this, it is necessary to develop ways to represent models. The article uses a descriptive method. The author argues in the context of a system-activity approach to the educational process. It highlights specific conditions for the use of modeling technology
