Abstract

In this paper, the author touches upon the actual problems of the Islamization of the epic "Manas" by the clergy, as can be seen from the example of the distortion of episodes related to the military campaigns of the Kyrgyz, led by the ruler-Kagan Manas, against the KaraKytays, Manchus and Kalmaks, when there is a substitution of religious adherents the liberation nature of the wars of the Kyrgyz people against foreign invaders with a religious motivation proper
