Abstract
The article is devoted to the creative research of professor Karboz Dyikanov.The author of the article describes the structure and content of the works in morphology, phonetics and lexicology of the Kyrgyz language. Special attention is given to the origin of Kyrgyz short and long vowels, they are studied from the historical point of view. There is also information on comparative grammar and history of Kyrgyz and other modern turkic languages. The article gives information on lexicographical works of K.Dyikanov, his contribution to publication of onomastics and random vocabularies of Kyrgyz languages
