Abstract

This article explores information in a fiction text based on artistic detailing, which addresses the fact that this information, in turn, is supplemented by out-of-text, general background (contextual) information. Such information participates in creating a coherent causal, meaningful information system that includes features, details, sequence, and order of information in the text. Considering the text through the prism of the general background information ensures its full semantic meaning, and at the same time the artistic information specifies and details the general background (contextual) information, while the implicit (subtextual) information differs from the background in that it is not expressed explicitly in the text, but is transmitted as a hint, indirect, hidden, veiled information
