Abstract

Language taboo is a manifestation of taboo, and its cultural connotation, type and origin vary from language to language. There are different many types of language taboos in Kirghiz, mainly including livestock taboos, food taboos, titles taboos, colors taboos, illness and death taboos, physiological and sexual life taboos, also major festivals, etiquette, beliefs or customs taboos, childbirth and speech etiquette taboos. Their formation is closely related to the way of life, living conditions, religious beliefs, ideology, traditional culture and national morality, education of the Kirghiz people over the centuries. Collecting and organizing taboo materials on folk languages is of value in understanding folk culture, philosophy, moral education, and creating unimpeded interaction between different ethnic groups and teaching as a second language
