Abstract

The article touches upon the implementation in Kyrgyzstan of the international initiative of the PRC «One Belt - One Road», including its component part - the «Economic Belt of the Silk Road» (SREB).  Within the framework of this project, China helps modern Kyrgyzstan to reanimate and build new highways of a modern level, attracts significant investments both in the form of loans and grants.  These investments are mainly invested in the development of minerals and in the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan.  Therefore, our republic can use these opportunities to strengthen and develop its economy, as this allows us to receive significant financial contributions to the country's budget, create new jobs, and strengthen industrial and trade potential.  For these reasons, despite some drawbacks in the processes of implementing the PRC's One Belt - One Road initiative, Kyrgyzstan still gets much more opportunities from this.  Moreover, our republic has a wonderful opportunity to use all the positive aspects of establishing cooperation between the EAEU, of which Kyrgyzstan is a member, and the «One Belt - One Road» initiative, since an advantageous position makes it possible to profitably supply Chinese goods to the EAEU, and to the PRC resources and energy carriers necessary for its economy
